Exciting hockey last night, blowouts,shootouts, upsets and shootouts it had it all

 

Last night was every hockey fans dream, especially if you had the center ice package. It was exciting hockey. Sidney Crosby had a hat trick last night against Montreal. Pittsburgh won that game in a blowout, 6-1. Also last night, San Jose edged the young kings 2-1 in a shootout, Clowe with the winner. Also the stars beat the struggling Leafs 4-3 in OT. The Leafs though, have been during miles better than before in the past 2 games they have had 3 out of a possible 4 points, that’s more than they had in the rest of there games! The Coyotes also beat the struggling of late Jackets, 4-1. The injury of Jan Hejda is hurting them bad. The jackets were 5-1, now they are 6-4.

Roberto Luongo out

Canucks star goalie, Roberto Luongo is out week-week due to a hairline fracture in his rib that was apparently suffered during the recent Canucks and Leafs game.  This is terrible news to the Canucks organization. Luckily he won’t be out to long and Raycroft could be a solid replacement as could Cory Schneider.

Here is what Luongo said:

“It happened in the third period against Toronto,” explained Luongo. “It was a band angle shot. I went one knee down against the post and the puck hit me just hit me in the seam of my chest protector. The next day was a bit uncomfortable but I was able to play through it without any problems. Just last night, during the first period it aggravated itself, not on a particular play, it just gradually got worse.”
